Oh, I'm glad that Brooklyn is fine. That's always scary when you think something might be wrong with your baby, I'm sure. I hope Jessica is doing better, it sounds like she has a lot to recover from. Isn't their baby blessing this Sunday?
Wow! Funny that, that many people would say yes and then just not show up. But, it's never really a bad thing to have lots of food- better than not enough. What did you do with all the extra food?
My memorial weekend was bitter-sweet. It was so great having Nate here. I've missed him so! It's just wonderful having that support around. Monday was hard because it was the one year anniversary of mom dying - crazy that it's been a year- but I made it through. And then Tues I had to say goodbye all over again and I think it's even harder the second time.
I'm so sorry that you had to break the news to Nate's grandma. I was telling him about it and the sad thing is, we couldn't even think which grandma wouldn't know because we though of 2 that we haven't personally told. Oops! I just assumed word would get around. Too funny! And the shower isn't really THAT early I didn't think. 3 months isn't bad.
My camera is a Nikon D60, it's a DSLR. It's really nice and I love it. I can understand the waiting thing because that's what drove me nuts about my other camera too. That's so exciting that you get to have a new one! I love new toys. Nate just bought us a video recorder as well so that we can make videos of the baby when he's born. It's so exciting! Yes, I have been working on my portfolio. I did maternity shots for a friend and also 2 family shots. I'm working to get some more to add, but I think it's going well. :) I am planning to take a trip down there one of these weekends in June. Obviously not the 7th, but one of the ones after that. I'll let you know which I decided on. Yay! It will be so much fun.
Well, I'm just about to leave and go to the dietician. Apparently I failed my glucose test, which really freaked me out because I was scared that I would be diagnosed with gestational diabetes. So, they set me up an appointment with the dietician and had me go in this week and do a three hour glucose and drew my blood, like, four times in three hours. Icky! I look like a drug addict now. But, everything came back good with that one (whew!). I decided to just keep my appointment today even though I didn't have to because it never hurts to get some good advice. At least I won't be restricted to a strict diet. Yippee! So, I'm off! Thanks for all you've done!
